About Me
Hey, I'm Sarah.
Nice to Meet You.
I picked up my first camera at 14 and never put it down. What started as a teenager's hobby turned into a fine arts degree, then an apprenticeship with National Geographic photographer David Guttenfelder, and eventually my own studio here in San Francisco.
But the fancy backstory isn't what makes the photos good. It's the fact that I genuinely care about the people in front of my lens. I'll make you laugh, I'll catch the real emotions, and I'll deliver images that feel like you -- not like a stiff stock photo.
When I'm not shooting, you'll find me hiking the Marin Headlands with my dog Pixel, drinking too much coffee, or binge-watching photography documentaries.

Questions I Get Asked a Lot
What should I wear to my session?
Wear something you feel amazing in! I always say: if you wouldn't wear it on a great first date, skip it. Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns. I send a detailed style guide after booking, and I'm always happy to help you plan outfits over a quick call.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings, 6-12 months is ideal. For portraits and events, 2-4 weeks usually works great. That said, I've pulled off amazing last-minute sessions before, so it never hurts to reach out even if your timeline is tight.
What if it rains on our outdoor session?
Rain can actually make for stunning, dramatic photos! But if you'd prefer sunshine, we simply reschedule at no extra charge. I monitor weather closely and will reach out 48 hours beforehand if it looks like we should move the date.
I'm really not photogenic. Can you still help?
I hear this all the time, and I promise you: you're wrong. There's no such thing as "not photogenic" -- there's just bad lighting and stiff posing. I specialize in making real people look incredible by keeping things natural, finding your best angles, and making you genuinely laugh. Every single client has been surprised by how good they look.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes! I'm based in San Francisco but I travel throughout California at no extra charge, and I'm available for destination work worldwide. Travel fees are transparent and quoted upfront. Some of my favorite sessions have been in places I'd never been before.
