How is this different from a LUT?

A LUT is a fixed lookup table that doesn't account for tone mapping, gamut compression, or out-of-range values. ChromaShift uses true colorimetric science — proper matrix math, smart rolloff, and OETF/EOTF transforms. The result is mathematically correct, not just "close enough."

Will I lose color information?

No. Our 32-bit float pipeline preserves every nuance during processing. Only when downsampling to a smaller gamut (e.g., Rec.2020 → sRGB) is gamut compression applied — using perceptually intelligent algorithms that prioritize visual fidelity over mathematical purity.

Can I bring my own custom LUT or ICC profile?

Absolutely. Pro and Studio plans support unlimited custom .cube, .csp, .3dl, and .icc uploads. Apply them as input transforms, look-development steps, or output curves — chained however your workflow needs.

Does it work with HDR Dolby Vision?

Yes — full Dolby Vision support including L1, L2, L8 metadata generation. SDR-to-Dolby Vision upconvert with intelligent inverse tone mapping. We're a Dolby Vision certified vendor.
